I am fascinated by molecular biogeography and taxonomy of Eurasian amphibians and reptiles, especially from the Balkans, Middle East, and Central Asia. I have visited more than 50 countries and I am regularly returning to the Balkans and different parts of Asia, where I collaborate on several research projects. I love traveling and photography.
Two species of snakes, Lycodon bicolor and Oligodon transcaspicus, have been added to the herpetofauna of Central Asia. More information is in the journals Zoologica Scripta and PeerJ.
